Falkirk Cultural Center and Headlands Center for the Arts: An unfurling

I, as an artist with the AAC, have not posted here in a couple of years or so, for my part. I have been involved in making artwork, exhibitions, etc and started exploring writing on substack, a burgeoning YouTube channel, an AAC instagram post here there where. I enjoy real life way beyond virtual life, but many seem insistent on the later. And so I tried. For them. It seems bizarre, and not in a good way. But that is my own sentiment. In our old-fashioned way, we held an appreciation for local Art and Music teachers at Falkirk Cultural Center last month. The letterpress invitation made at Sy’s ImagineARiver Press was extraordinary and they will be better to post on that. Falkirk was my favorite place for art classes growing up. I go to the plant sale there in March. It is a special place. Next month is an exhibition at Headlands Center for the Arts that I am one of the contributing artists of AAC for. We are developing or curating our artwork individually and then bringing them all together as a Collective. We are discovering and making. The Headlands was a place I often went to as a teenager with high school sweethearts, yet my work isn’t about them. Yes, there are memories, but I am showing work that was created from emotions and experiences from adult relationships. The coming together of the very past environment and the more recent past experiences has not fully coalesced. until in the space. There is an honoring of love, a sincerity of purpose.
